The name Walt Disney has become synonymous with fun and thrills for decades. Mr. Disney had wanted to create a place where dreams could come true and with his Fantasy Lands and Tomorrow Worlds he has dramatically succeeded. When you hear Disney, you know you will have the time of your life. Family vacations are what Disney is call about, from the cruise line through the multi-national Parks; you won't regret the time you spend with your family.
Disneyland
Located in Anaheim, California this is the first venture from Walt Disney. Make sure you come to the Park with a plan otherwise you may miss out on a lot. The best thing to do is to put aside enough time to see and do everything.. which could be days. Definitely get a pass for the multiple days you plan to visit, and as an added bonus, you probably should take advantage of the vacation packages available and stay on campus. You get additional monies off, coupons, etc. when you go this route. Oh รข€" and don't miss out on the California Adventure.
Disney World
This is the second park created by Disney, located in Orlando, Florida. There are four different theme parks and two water parks, including the Epoch Center on this campus. The beach is also accessible for fun in the sand and sun. Again, it is suggested to get all-day passes and plan with a package in mind for extra savings.
Disney Resort: Paris, France
With all the rides and thrills offered by the American counterparts, Paris has added in the Walt Disney Studio Park, Disney Village which is an entertainment district and Lake Disney. Plan, plan, plan. Maybe think of a few highlights the family doesn't want to miss, or you'll spend weeks and weeks here to catch everything that there is to offer.
Tokyo Disney Resort
You can visit nearby Tokyo and Disney all in one trip if you plan your time wisely. The Park has the standard set of Disney rides, plus the Ikspiari dining, shopping and entertainment district.
Hong Kong Disneyland Resort
Outside of the Park you can visit a multitude of places to offer up a good chuck of history. Within the Park there are the rides that make Disney famous, along with Inspiration lake and an arboretum.
Cruise Liners
See Europe, the Bahamas, the Caribbean or take a Transatlantic cruise with Disney. There are plenty of off-ship activities to enjoy as a family, as well as onboard. Disney musicals and pools are just a couple of the things to enjoy while on the cruise.
The Plan
First, do not go over budget. Disney.com has plenty of packages and information available for each of the destinations so that you can plan accordingly, with no surprises. Secondly, if you want to beat the crowds, go off-season. You can see more when the lines are shorter. Don't forget about your family's needs. Schedule some down time for eating and sleeping so the kids don't become over stimulated. Enjoy getting in earlier to the park when staying in a Disney-run hotel. There are kids camps and childcare available at many of these hotels, so if the adults wish to get away on their own, you have a chance to do so. Guidebooks are great, and don't forget to figure souvenirs into the budget.
Pack up your troubles, head for the hills of Disney and have yourself a ball! Mickey and friends are ready and awaitin'!
